Bus, truck crash en route to New York City

We have all heard the adage that “no news is good news.” This is especially true when it comes to bus accidents. When we cannot write about the damages caused to victims of an accident where they were a passenger on a mass transit vehicle, it is a good thing. Passenger injuries can change the lives of victims in an instance.

It is sad to have to report another bus accident that occurred with passengers en route to New York City. The bus was operated by Trans-Bridge and was carrying four passengers on Monday morning, Jan. 16, 2012 whose lives were about to change.

The bus had been traveling in the northbound direction on Route 202 at approximately 5:40 in the morning hours. When the bus attempted to turn left onto Route 263, it collided with a utility truck. The truck had not only been carrying hundreds of bags of white paint pellets, but it was carrying a passenger as well.

When the two vehicles collided, the driver of the bus, the driver of the truck, the truck passenger and another passenger from the bus were all injured. The injuries all varied in degree but all of them required transport to a nearby hospital. The truck driver and bus passenger were taken to Doylestown Hospital. The truck passenger and the bus driver were taken to St. Mary Medical Center.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing as accident officials attempt to discover to cause of the crash and whether a driver had been negligent in their actions. Injured passengers who wish to seek compensation to hold those responsible for their injuries can seek the assistance of an experienced personal injury attorney.
